Note from the President- Please pay close attention to the meeting dates because not all dates are on the second Thursday of the month. When Marlene went to Mayfield Twp. Hall to confirm our dates some had already been taken by another group. Our confirmed meeting dates are listed below in the Calendar of Events. The dates have also been corrected on the EMHS Website. The months that have the dates changed are February 27th and May 1st.
Hosta College is March 21st & 22nd in Piqua, Ohio. This year there are more than 40 classes being offered. You can see a list of the classes, sign-up dates, where to stay, etc. by going to the Great Lakes Region Hosta College website; https://hostacollege.org
Some members to keep in your thoughts are Annette Gavit and Carolyn Pickard. Annette had surgery in October and had multiple complications post-surgery. Please keep Annette in your prayers. Carolyn was in and out of the hospital from October through December. She is now at home recuperating. All our best thoughts to Annette and Carolyn for their recovery as well as to John and Dick for caring for their spouses.
We need volunteers for the summer garden tours in July and August. There will be a sign-up sheet at the February 27th meeting. We would like to have at least two sites in close proximity for each month, but will accept any offers to host the tour.
The American Primrose Society has asked me to host a garden tour for them on June 14th from 11:00-2:00PM. Susan Haddock the local APS chapter President will be the speaker for our meeting on June 12th and all are invited to visit Pace Gardens on the 14th with APS.

Our next meeting is February 27th at the Mayfield Twp. Hall in Lapeer. At this meeting we will finalize this year’s agenda, ask for tour volunteers, catch up with each other, discuss a few matters, and enjoy another EMHS Potluck.
I look forward to seeing everybody February 27th.

Next Meeting- February 27, 2025 at the Mayfield Twp. Hall, 1900 N. Saginaw, Lapeer, MI 48446. This is our regular meeting place located just south of the point of M-24 and N. Saginaw, (the driveway just north of the Cemetery).
Please come prepared to pay your annual dues of $10 per household per year. The year listed after your name in the Membership Directory is the year you are paid through. If that year is 2024, you owe for 2025. But if it is listed as 2025 or beyond, you do not owe dues.
Don’t forget this meeting is the first Potluck of the year. The club will supply plates, flatware, and napkins. Please bring your favorite dish to pass.
